Digicel opens new store in Union Island

Digicel, the fast growing mobile telecommunications provider in the Caribbean has opened a brand new store for the residents of Union Island and surrounding Grenadine Islands.{{more}}

From the moment the door opened, many excited customers flocked to Digicel store to grab up fantastic deals and were not disappointed.

The first customer to purchase a mobile handset on the island was van driver Desmond “Lion” James. He commended Digicel setting up the store on the Grenadine isle and believed that locals would save time and money, since they would no longer have to venture to the mainland to purchase phones and receive service.

Describing the relationship between the people of Union Island and Digicel as a strong love affair, Dealer Account Executive Fanta Williams, also pointed out that the residents have been anticipating Digicel’s arrival and thanked them for being loyal, patient customers.

The Dealer Account Executive credited the persons involved in the design of the building and noted that it was situated at an ideal central location to cater to the needs of assist people throughout.

Emphasizing that the opening of the new store on Union Island was Digicel’s commitment to better serve the people was OECS Distribution Manager Virgil Henry.

He stated, “Digicel gives quality service throughout the region and this proves that the Grenadines is not being over looked. Digicel is here forever and we are home. The Caribbean is our home and we are here to stay and serve the people.”

Henry also said that the new store was only the beginning of what Digicel has planned and that there would be events geared specifically towards the island as a means of saying thank you to the residents.
