ECCB Monetary Council holds 60th meeting

Finance ministers from the ECCB’s member countries are meeting in St Kitts today, Friday, October 12, 2007, at the 60th meeting of the Bank’s Monetary Council.{{more}}

Council Members will receive the Governor’s report on monetary and credit conditions as mandated by the Agreement establishing the Bank. They will also discuss the role of the regional money and capital markets in sustaining growth in the ECCU, with particular emphasis on the Regional Government Securities Market which celebrates its 5th year of operation in November 2007.

The Monetary Council meeting was preceded yesterday by the 112th meeting of the Bank’s Board of Directors.
