This will be followed by a technical planning meeting at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Chamber of Industry and Commerce Conference room on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at 9:00 a.m.

The project is being funded by the Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Co-operation (CTA). CTA and ECTAD have been in partnership over the last few years. CTA has been a major contributor to ECTAD, and continues to be, in providing support to ECTAD through information, communication and management assistance where ECTAD can provide training to its members, thus improving their quality of life.

The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of health in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and creation of wealth in the rural areas, through seeking to reduce the incidence of Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs), that is, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, etc, by increased production and consumption of more fruits and vegetables by our local population.
