Fashion Caribbean hits the catwalk this weekend

Fashion Caribbean, the brainchild of locally based Image Modelling Agency, will put forth its 7th consecutive showing on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007, at the Cruise Ship Terminal.{{more}}

This year, the show, which is sponsored by Digicel, will feature 10 foreign designers, in addition to three of the top local designers. The designers include, from Barbados, Avark, Luna Designs, Marquis Designs, Pat Fashions and Creative Textiles; from Trinidad and Tobago, SDesigns, which is the collection from young designer Shaunelle Ramesar who is of Vincentian parentage, the designs of Lisa Marie Henry Sims and The Cloth. In addition to designers from Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados, Digicel Fashion Caribbean will also feature designs from Zeitgeist of Antigua, and Judith Rawlins of St.Kitts with her popular Brown Sugar collection.



Young Vincentian Shernicia Mayers, former Miss SVG and Designer Kimon Baptiste, along with Kimya Glasgow, who is fresh off her Shabeau Magazine Debut, are also expected to showcase their designs.

A release from Image Modelling Agency says that they are “committed to producing a show of optimum quality, which can be comparable both regionally and internationally.” They promise that Digicel Fashion Caribbean 2007 will be even better than previous years.
