Will SVG produce the 3rd straight Digicel Rising Star?
As the third season of Digicel Rising Stars progresses, the question on many persons minds is – Could St. Vincent and the Grenadines do the hat trick by taking the Digicel Rising Stars title for 2007?{{more}}
Those who have that ambitition will audition for a chance to compete this Saturday, July 28 at the Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown.
âAt Digicel we are once again proud to be able to give the people of the region an opportunity to explore their talent and at the same time provide engaging high quality family entertainment at the same time participating fully in the choice of the best talent in the region,â said Sonia Polius, Digicel country manager in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The format for entry is simple. Auditions take place on Saturday when anyone can enter and perform. Those selected are recalled to perform before the Judges on Sunday. Following performances on Sunday, ten contestants will be chosen to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the live TV programme.
It is from this programme that the public across the region will select the two contestants by voting using any mobile phone to decide who will join the others chosen similarly from each of the participating countries.
Contestants will once again compete for US$10,000 and a publishing contract.
The current holder of the title of Digicel Rising Stars is Vincentian Kyron Baptiste. This yearâs judges will be the same panel that adjudicated last seasonâs competition. They are Vynette Frederick, Adrian Bailey and Brian Alexander.
