To get a chance of winning the big prize, a person had to submit their entry along with five non winning scratchy tickets. All of Davis’ five tickets were from the scratch game “Lucky seven” and each ticket had prize winnings of $777.

The draw, which was witnessed by thousands of patrons at the Soca Monarch show on July 7, saw Davis emerging as the lucky winner.

Speaking at the official handing over of the car at the Lotteries compound last Friday, the Orange Grove resident and employee of Howard’s Driving School said that she was at home when she got a telephone call from her sister stating that she had won the car. “At first I did not believe it, but when the people at KPMG called me then I knew it was true.”

Davis said she has been playing games of the National Lotteries for a long time but never won anything that big. (KW)
