The programme, which is in its third year, was implemented in an effort to give students insight into VINLEC’s role in the economy, inform them about pertinent issues in the electricity sector, educate students about how electricity is produced and distributed, and how to work with electricity safely.

During each session, students will have a tour of one power station, and they will be engaged in stimulating seminars.

This year, the participating schools are St. Joseph’s Convent Marriaqua, Petit Bordel Secondary, Barrouallie Secondary School, North Union Secondary School and the J. P. Eustace Secondary School. Each school will participate in a one-day session over a five-week period commencing July 19 and ending August 23.
