Jehovah’s Witnesses invite all to district convention

Jehovah’s Witnesses will hold their annual convention at the end of this month, and over the next three weeks, Witnesses will be extending personal invitations to members of the general public to attend the 2007 “Follow the Christ” District Convention.{{more}}

The event will be held at the Arnos Vale Playing Field beginning Friday, July 27, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. Admission to the Convention is free, and no collections will be taken. The convention will run for three days.

The Witnesses’ special event will be highlighted by the distribution of an attractively illustrated invitation. Their goal is to extend a personal invitation to as many people as possible. The effort is very similar to what the Witnesses did last year when they invited people to attend their “Deliverance at Hand!” District Convention. That distribution met with great success, contributing to a sizable increase in convention attendance worldwide compared with that of the previous year.

Locally, the Witnesses will be giving energetic support to this united global advertising activity for convention programs that will be held over the course of the next few months in over 150 lands. The Witnesses hope for an even greater attendance this year since the program will be devoted to examining what the Bible really teaches about Jesus and what Scriptural basis there is for determining who are true Christians today.

There are close to 100,000 congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses throughout the world. Local Witnesses hope you accept their invitation to come with them to “Follow the Christ!” They are confident that all in attendance will benefit from being there.
