Cherrianne wants to be a veterinarian

Cherrianne Davis a student of the Kingstown Prep School placed 6th overall in the recent Common Entrance Examinations.

Speaking with the SEARCHLIGHT about her success she said “I didn’t really find it that difficult but it was challenging”.{{more}} Cherrianne said that the General Paper was the one she found most difficult as there were some questions that she didn’t quite understand. Cherrianne is not a boastful young lady and attributes a lot of her success to her mother, who she says really helped her with her studies. She told the SEARCHLIGHT that she aspires to be a veterinarian but “I had a few times when I didn’t want to be it again when I though of having to deal with lizards.”

She plans to spend the summer holidays travelling and relaxing but plans to keep reading to keep her vocabulary up. Proud mother Joslyn Foye said that there were times when she thought that she may have pushed her daughter too hard with their study regime, but she feels great about Cherrianne’s achievement.

Cherrianne humbly said that she is happy that she got into the top 10 and made her mother and school proud. She would like to thank all the people who believed in her, including her mother, teachers, people from her church Faith Temple and the staff of The News Newspaper where her mother is employed. (VM)
