SVG Children Welfare Fund hands over $23,200 to pre-schools
The St Vincent and the Grenadines Children Welfare Fund handed over a total of $23,200 to 22 different pre-schools throughout the country at Government House last Wednesday under the patronage of Governor General Sir Frederick Ballantyne.{{more}}
Sir Frederick expressed gratitude to the business community for their donations throughout the year and thanked the public for supporting the Children Welfare Fundâs various fund raising activities such as concerts, marches, rallys and tea parties.
The Head of State also thanked members of the Children Welfare Fund Committee who he said worked âdiligentlyâ to ensure that the organization acquired resources.
A special donation of $1,000 was made to the St Benedictâs Childrenâs Hospital and the Association for People with Disabilities.
