Nurses have fun at Sharpes Playing Field

ALTHOUGH dubbed VAT Day, Tuesday was nothing but a Fun day at the Sharpes Playing Field for the nurses and caregivers of the Chateaubelair district.

The District comprises five clinics which are located in Spring Village, Couls Hill, Tromaca, Rose Hall and Chateaubelair; Donnett Cuningham is the supervisor of the district.{{more}}

Five teams competed in limited overs softball cricket matches with teams Rose Hall, Tromaca, Chateaubelair and Couls Hill respectively claiming the top positions with Team Conquerors led by Cunningham coming last.

The Youth department of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports donated the trophy for first place, while the second place trophy and a case of malt for third place were donated by Pineapple Apartment, Boutique and Bar of Chateaubelair.

The event attracted a very large crowd and there was music playing with food and drinks on sale.

Arnhim “Supa Dan” Chance of Pan Yard International provided the music, umbrellas, chairs and clean up service free of cost, he was also a presenter of prizes. “It is all about the community,” Chance said.

Event organizer Staff Nurse Julia Haywood told SEARCHLIGHT “We are committed to promoting good health and wellness and good fun too”. The after party continued until midnight.
