Police finds 654 pounds of cocaine

Up to press time on Wednesday, no one was had been arrested in connection with the mysterious find of 250 kilos (654 pounds) of cocaine hidden in bushes between Mt Wynne and Bambareux on the Leeward side of St. Vincent.

A police press release stated that members of the the Coast Guard Services, Special Services Unit (SSU), Rapid Response Unit (RRU) and the Drug Squad carried out a joint operation leading them to the drugs.

It was said that the drug has an estimated street value of EC$10 million.
