Dickson in his brief remarks highlighted some challenges which may confront the Federation operating in a Caribbean Single Market and Economy (CSME) environment. He also looked at the various training and development programs and projects to be undertaken by the Federation. He thanked outgoing president, Don Providence for the energy, time, support and direction given to the Federation over the period he served. He said he was looking forward to a close working relationship with the new management committee.

Providence, who served as President of the Federation since 2001, said he wanted to give the opportunity to another Director to gain experience in that capacity.

The recent Management Committee meeting saw Martin La Borde being elected as Vice president. Three companies were nominated to the new committee: Goddard’s Enterprises, St. Vincent Brewery Limited and National Broadcasting Corporation.

The other directors are: Basil’s Bar and Restaurant (Basil Charles), A.I. Real Estate (Don Providence), St. Vincent Co-operative Bank Ltd. (Sharon Millington), General Employees Co-operative Credit Union Limited (Cornelia Moses), St. Vincent Insurances Limited (Simone Goodluck) and St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited.
