Heritage Village returning for 2007 carnival

The Ministry of Urban Development and Culture is expressing its thanks to all exhibitors and participants who took part in the establishment and operations of the First-Ever Vincy Heritage Village at Heritage Square, South River Road last week.

According to a release from the Ministry, they are pleased with the overwhelming positive response from the general public to the concept of the Heritage Village. The Ministry now plans to review the feedback; undertake an evaluation of the exercise and make fresh recommendations.{{more}}

A formal plan for the Heritage Square Development will be considered by the Urban Development Task Force which includes project arrangements as the first major project in the City by the Urban Development Agency.

The draft Bill for the Urban Development Agency will be submitted to the Attorney General next month to be on the Legislative Agenda for this first half-year.

Early recommendations reaching the Culture Ministry are requests to set up the Village again for a few days for Vincy Mas season in July 2007. Other suggestions are welcomed.
