The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Bureau of Standards (SVGBS) was the recipient of 4,000 pieces of Petri Dishes and laboratory chemicals from Western Scientific Co. Ltd out Trinidad and Tobago.

The donation was handed over by Genevieve Francis, Marketing Representative of Western Scientific Co. Ltd. Ezra D. Ledger, Director of the SVGBS accepted the donation on behalf of the SVGBS and expressed appreciation to Western Scientific Co. Ltd for the kind gesture and assured the Company that the items will be used in the SVGBS laboratory in carrying out normative microbiological tests.

The brief donation ceremony took place at the conference room of the SVGBS on Wednesday 7th February and was witnessed by several members of the SVGBS staff including, Head of Laboratory services Haydeen Charles, Executive Officer, Carlos Williams, Standards Inspectors Simeon Bacchus and Standards Assistant Joline Rodney.
