The New Kingstown Chorale will conclude its 50th Anniversary Celebrations with a Christmas Concert dubbed “The Joy of Christmas” featuring new Christmas renditions and old favourites as they continue to “rejoice, give thanks, and sing” in keeping with the theme for the celebrations.

The concert which started last evening continues tonight and ends tomorrow at the Peace Memorial Hall. It starts at 8 pm each night.{{more}}

Public Relations Officer of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Jennifer Glasgow-Browne, said all the activities to date have been very successful. These included the 50th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service held in April 2006 and the Homecoming Concert held in July 2006 which she said “significantly impacted Vincentian music lovers”.

Members of the Chorale were honoured at a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at Government House in July for their outstanding contribution to the chorale. These included founder Patrick Prescod along with Jeanne Horne, Clifford Edwards, and Gillian John.

“The Chorale wishes to thank all those persons who have assisted them over the years, and look forward to their continued support for another 50 years,” said Glasgow-Browne.
