Spanish cruise liner makes inaugural visit to St. Vincent

The Spanish cruise liner Blue Moon made its inaugural visit to St Vincent and the Grenadines Tuesday.

Minister of Tourism Glen Beache welcomed the Captain and his crew to the country and presented him with a plaque.{{more}}

The vessel owned by the old Spanish cruise company, Pullmantur, has repositioned The Blue Moon to the southern Caribbean for the winter season. The itinerary for the “Antilles and Grenadines” cruise originates on Saturdays in Aruba for an eight day/seven night cruise which makes calls at Curacao, Isla Margarita, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, and Mayreau.

The vessel has a crew of 376 and a capacity for 718 passengers double occupancy.

The cruise ship Ocean Village is also expected to make its inaugural call to port Kingstown on November 13, 2006.
