Taiwan signs agriculture agreement with SVG

Taiwan and St Vincent signed its 12th Agricultural Technical Agreement this week strengthening the industry.

The collaboration since 1982 has resulted in the development of projects such as plant tissue culture and food processing.

Ambassador Jack Cheng (above left) said that the local agricultural industry had a great future.

Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Montgomery Daniel (above right) lauded the work of the Taiwanese alluding to the “great transformation” in the rural areas with respect to the production and output of local farmers.

The Ambassador and the Minister signed the agreement on behalf of their governments.
