CDB to provide more to region

26.MAY.06

The Caribbean Development Bank’s 36th annual meeting of its board of governors closed on May 20, with the participants resolving to strengthen the bank’s assistance to the region through its special development fund into which US$258 million was recently injected.

The capital – the sixth injection since the bank began operating – will be used to assist in development of the countries in the region.

The CDB conference, which was officially opened on Wednesday, brought to the round table regional and non-regional representatives to explore ways to increase the organisation’s assistance to the region though developmental loans and grants.
