The female condom is a woman-controlled method which is easy to use. It is designed to prevent both pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections when used properly.

This contraceptive method is a non-hormonal method and as such can be used by women with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension and other medical conditions. Nurses at the Health Centres are knowledgeable about the method and will be available to provide information to persons willing to access these condoms.
