Chateau man drowns

The North Leeward Town of Chateaubelair was thrown into a state of sadness last Tuesday morning, as a result of the disappearance of Daniel James, a 53-year-old former Ambulance driver also known as Edmond James.

According to reports from residents in the area, James went into the sea at around 11 a.m. When he was not sighted immediately following, an alarm was raised as to his whereabouts. Quick action by a concerned fisherman led to a search, and James’ body was found just off the coastline.

A post mortem was expected to be carried out on James’ body.

He was married and was the father of two children. He was described as a jolly fellow.
