The donation included a computer monitor, one C.P.O editing station, a video recorder and a video camera.

Ambassador Cheng noted that the contribution was part of a programme carried out by the Embassy to assist government departments. Ambassador Cheng said that he looks forward to making contributions of this nature throughout the year to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Delighted with the donation was Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louis Straker; He stated that the equipment given would contribute significantly to the work carried out by the API.

Straker said that he has always been appreciative of the generosity of the Taiwanese government and people.

Minister Straker also announced that he will be travelling to Taiwan along with his wife later this week. While there, he will meet with that country’s Prime Minister to hold discussions aimed at building stronger ties between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan.
