Senator Francis meets with Housing staff

The staff members of the Ministry of Housing, Informal Human Settlements, Lands and Surveys and Physical Planning met with Senator Julian Francis and other departmental heads on Tuesday.

Permanent Secretary Kenrick Glynn stated that the objectives of the meeting were to unite the staff so that they could work together towards a common goal and to provide them with an opportunity to meet with their Minister.{{more}}

Senator Julian Francis said that the Ministry was formed under the policy plan of the Government as outlined in the ULP manifesto. He further stated that the ministry covers three vital areas: Physical Planning, Housing and Lands and Surveys.

Minister Francis noted that plans for this year include implementing a housing program for young professionals and middle income families. He also said that he will be proposing that land developers put in necessary infrastructure before selling lands to the public.

The Minister admonished the staff to be always punctual and courteous to the members of the public.
