Dr. Gonsalves says NDP in leadership quandary

There is only one live political issue in St.Vincent and the Grenadines today, says Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.

This, he said, has to do with whether Arnhim Eustace would quit the job as Politcal Leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP), or continue.

Dr. Gonsalves advised Eustace to follow the Edison James model and leave politics gracefully.

“The problem that the NDP has is who do they put. Nobody takes Friday seriously, Ollivierre is an innocuous sort of fellow. Cummings? Leacock? That’s their problem,” said Dr. Gonsalves.

“They want to get rid of Eustace but who do they put?” asked Dr. Gonsalves.
