US DEA Country Attaché to region dies

Bridgetown, Barbados – It is with deep regret that the Embassy announces the death of our friend and colleague, Hollis Williams, Country Attaché of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regional office in Bridgetown, Barbados. Hollis passed away on Thursday, November 24, while at home with his family in Virginia. {{more}}

Hollis led the Bridgetown DEA team since December 29, 2002. His previous assignments include the Washington Division, New Orleans Division and the Brasilia, Brazil Country Office.

Religious services were held on Friday, December 2, at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church on Magnolia Road in Macon Mississippi. Burial services were held on Saturday, December 3, at Rain Street Cemetery, Poplarville, Mississippi.

Hollis will be sincerely missed by his colleagues in the United States and among law enforcement agencies throughout the Caribbean. We join them in extending our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
