Four schools in KCCU Quiz finals

Four schools will contest the 2005 KCCU Primary School Quiz. Tommorow the winner takes home the Tommy Saunders Challenge Trophy. Sanders was a founding member of the Kingstown Cooperative Credit Union (KCCU).

The finalists are Brighton Methodist, represented by Karal Edwards and Zenica Peters, Kingstown Government with Jerome Christopher and Natisha Pitt, Park Hill Government carried by Akeeda Springer and Jefrial Hazel, and Georgetown Primary marshaled by Britnay Drayton and Laran Billy. ##:[more]##

They emerged from preliminaries held at the St. Vincent Grammar School last Saturday when a number of primary Schools vied for final spots.

They will continue to be quizzed on local and regional history, current affairs, general knowledge, credit union matters and sports at the finals at the Methodist Church Hall.

Last year’s winner was the Richland Park Primary School represented by Kelisha Henry and Niketa Toney.

Finalists will receive cash, in addition to their appropriate trophies. The KCCU, registered April 12, 1958, has over 11,000 members and assets worth $31.8M
