Cruise liners make inaugural visits

Two Cruise Liners, the Easy Cruise and Saga Ruby made their inaugural visits to Port Kingstown on Monday November 14 and Wednesday 16 respectively.

As a token of appreciation for choosing St. Vincent and the Grenadines as one of their destinations, officials at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the ships’ agents exchanged plaques and gifts with representatives of the cruise liners.{{more}}

The most recent production of a video documentary depicting the culture, lifestyle and scenery of the islands on DVD was also presented to the Captain of the Easy Cruise. This documentary will be shown on board the Easy Cruise so that passengers would get an insight as to what St. Vincent and the Grenadines has to offer as a tourist destination.

The Saga Ruby has over six hundred passengers and crew members. It remained overnight at the Cruise Ship Berth and left for Barbados the next day.

The Easy Cruise will be calling at Port Kingstown every Monday and at Bequia every Wednesday until April 6 2007.
