The ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Peace Memorial Hall. Dr. Philip Nanton will deliver the feature address and read from some of the poems in the collection.

Shake Keane, an outstanding son of the soil died in 1997 at the age of 70 in Oslo, Norway. He was honoured in this country in 2003 with a bust that lies at the Peace Memorial Hall. The Angel Horn, described as vintage Keane, is his last gift to this country. Of special interest are poems written during his last years in New York. Saturday’s activity is our way of honouring Shake.

Copies of the collection will be available to persons who are interested in purchasing for their own use or as gifts.
