Renowned violinist to perform in SVG

In celebration of its fifth anniversary of sponsoring the art camp “Growing Young SVG Artists”, Youlou Arts Foundation has invited the renowned and versatile violinist Paul Peabody to perform a series of musical presentations. {{more}}

Peabody will be visiting St. Vincent and the Grenadines during the week of October 17th, to perform a series of concerts for Primary School children. He plans to perform in Kingstown, Georgetown, Barrouallie and Bequia. During his visit he is also willing to have a master class for older children who are proficient enough to learn some improvising skills.

Peabody has played with the New York City Ballet Orchestra for twenty- seven years. He has recorded several solo classical CDs. He has played in several movies such as “Beauty and the Beast”, and “Aladdin”. He won a special Grammy for work on the theme song for the movie “Titanic”.

He has also recorded with numerous and diverse singers such as Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Wyclef Jean.

In the theatre world he has performed with Pavarotti and Leonard Bernstein.

The public is invited to attend his solo concert on Saturday, October 22, at 5 p.m. at the Methodist Hall, in Kingstown.
