New marketing head at FirstCaribbean

Bridgetown, Barbados – FirstCaribbean International Bank has announced the appointment of Head of Marketing Operations and Strategic Business Unit Support.

Beatrix Carrington will be responsible for guiding the bank’s Advertising and Marketing Operations. The department works closely with the Research and Product Development and Corporate and Internal Communications departments, to deliver a total package of marketing services to the banks across the region.{{more}}

Carrington’s undergraduate training is in Economics and German from Reading University, UK, with extensive management training over the years. Her substantive experience has been in the Caribbean airline industry, first with Caribbean Airways and then with BWIA (for the last 18 years). For the previous 10 years she headed that airline’s marketing functions as Vice-President Marketing and Sales, and more recently a range of service operations were added to her portfolio.

The appointment takes effect from June 1.
