Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister of Education Mike Browne said that the construction of the Library/Resource centre reflects government’s view that education is essential to the development of St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

Noting that the Centre reiterated his administration’s view that this country must be transformed into a classroom, the minister said it was just another element in the ongoing educational revolution in St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

Browne’s junior minister and Parliamentary Representative for the East St. George area Clayton Burgin stated that the opening of the Centre emphasises the Ministry’s thrust to improving the educational system.

He said it was because government recognises students as the most important resource of this country that efforts must be made to assist them with developing their skills and enhancing their talents.

The community college library/ East St. George Learning Resource Centre was designed by TVA Consultants and constructed by Sibli Construction.
