More aid for YES programme

The Youth Empowerment Service (YES) programme, received a further boost last Monday with an EC$700,000 injection. The money was handed over to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves by Taiwanese ambassador Elizabeth Chu. {{more}}

The YES programme is an initiative aimed at preparing youngsters for the future. They receive $400 monthly stipend and other opportunities to build their capacity.

The Ambassador also used the occasion to hand over another $1.5 million to Prime Minister Dr. Gonsalves. That portion was allocated to funding for a series of community projects.
