Leacock speaks good of Baptiste

The cut and thrust of party politics normally sees bitter rivalry between opposing forces.
But that pattern was broken last Tuesday during the sitting of the House of Assembly.
Opposition Senator St. Clair Leacock, one of five members on the opposition bench, praised Culture and Tourism Minster Rene Baptiste for her involvement in cultural activities here and particularly the carnival celebrations. {{more}}
“No praise is too much for her,” Leacock said. It was a sharp contrast to the pattern that obtains in Parliament and on some programmes heard over some radio stations where bitter one-sided political rivalry is often the order of the day.
