Poster winners to get prizes today

Several students across the state who excelled in the Family Court Children Rights Poster Competition will receive their prizes this morning.
This will be done at a prize giving ceremony scheduled at 9 a.m. for the Conference Room of Professional Secretarial and Consultancy Services Inc.(upstairs the Corea’s Building).{{more}}
Five-year-old Arielle Roberts of the Kingstown Preparatory School was adjudged the first prize winner in the 5-9 age group category. Second place went to eight-year-old Marlon Roberts of the Calder Primary and third to nine-year-old Sylborne Yearwood of the Calder Primary.
In the 10-12 age group category first place was captured by 12-year-old Shurwin Mapp of the Calder Primary School while second and third position went to 11-year-old Vorne Mc Quire and 11-year-old Mickey Lewis, respectively also of the Calder Primary School.
Special prizes will be awarded to Britanny Lulley of the Bequia Seventh Day Adventist Primary School, Jomar Pope of the Kingstown Anglican School, Jemeisha Lewis of the Bequia Anglican Primary School, Vakeesha John of the Layou Government School and Taj Lee of the St.Mary’s R.C School.
Cable & Wireless have generously sponsored the prizes.
Prizewinners are asked to be accompanied by a parent, guardian or a teacher.
