Splectron told SEARCHLIGHT that just recently a similar event was staged in the fashion of a boat ride to the Grenadine Island of Bequia.
“It was successful we decided to do this again for the people who didn’t get a chance to enjoy it because as you know some people are afraid to ride boat,” Splectron said with a smile.
The evening will kick off with several ring games such as hop scotch, mother me eye, burnings, one two three red light, ring ah ring ah roses, a brown girl in the ring and a rounders competition, male versus female.
Splectron said this section will be followed by a celebrity football match which will feature artistes versus media personalities. The media personalities team will comprise Shevern Peters, reigning Miss SVG and Miss Carival, Donovan, Hitman, Splectron and Groove Master among others.
Adding more excitement to the evening’s activities will be the staging of competitions for the persons wearing the “wickedest old school out fit” and the man with the “biggest tulum”. There will be a competition, which will focus on mathematical sums and word meanings.
Patrons cannot afford to miss Sunday night’s show because Timmy out of Barbados will be coming to put out the fire with his hit tune “Catch ah bucket of water”. The show will also feature Dawg –E Slaughter of Trinidad and Tobago who will be doing “Give ah a tramble”.
To enter the gates will only require a meagre sum of EC$10.
“We like to give patrons a lot of fun for a little. It’s a fun fill event for the family. It’s our way of helping to make Vincy Mas bigger and better,” Splectron said.
The curtains will come down on the show with performances from Poorsah, Madzart, Skinny Fabulous, Galanair, D.J Twenty and Alla G, Sugar of Roses Crew, Hott Sand and Dynamic Guys.
