The fourth preliminary round of the Heineken Green Synergy DJ competition took place at the Sharpes Playing Field in Chateaubelair on Saturday, August 28, 2010. Witnessed by a large and responsive crowd, the night’s event featured five participants: DJ Ever Hype, DJ Strengthy, DJ Screw, DJ Flip, and Shiloh a.k.a DJ Hawt Skull.

In a highly competitive final clash round, DJ Screw narrowly outperformed DJ Flip. However, due to technical reasons, DJ Flip was selected to progress to the Finals of the Heineken Green Synergy D.J. Competition. “I must say most respect and thanks to all my friends who supported me. Special respect to DJ Simple-X, Panyard and Mainstreet Sounds” said Codrian Simmons a.k.a DJ Flip of Chateaubelair. “All my fans, come out to Victoria Park for the Green Synergy Finals. Much respect!”

The Heineken Green Synergy then headed to the Keartons Hard Court on Sunday, August 29, for the fifth preliminary round of the competition. Two DJ’s, DJ Not Nice and DJ Tuffarell, contested the clash. However, it was well patronized with a large crowd attending the event. DJ Not Nice defeated DJ Tuffarell in an overwhelming manner to win the final clash round and earn himself qualification for the Heineken Green Synergy DJ Finals.

“I feel very good as this is the first time I am entering the competition” said Cuthbert Ash, alias DJ Not Nice, of Barrouallie. “I feel very confident going into the finals of the competition.”

DJ Flip and DJ Not Nice now join D Original Pitbull, DJ MadAnts and DJ Biber to contest the Heineken Green Synergy DJ Finals. The winner of this competition will receive a Grand Prize of XCD $5000, as well as the opportunity to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the Regional Green Synergy DJ Finals.
