Carnival Catwalk for Pirates Cove


The Pirates Cove at Lowman’s Bay will reveal some of the Caribbean’s fashion treasures on Sunday 29th June when models from Mijé Personal Development and Advertising Agency will collaborate with SVG TV and Hitz 103.7 FM to present Carnival Catwalk 3 from 6:00pm. The occasion will be used to showcase the designs that are available for St. Vincent’s premier summer festival and other summer styles.{{more}}

The event will see the launching of two young talented Vincentian designers Lisa Cordice and Jeremy Payne. Once again the Mijé models would also show case their designing talents with a collection called “Tribute to Hairouna”. The local team will be strengthened with collections from Patrice Reddock (Patrice Fashions) and Debbie Barbour. St. Vincent’s newest boutique, Fettish will showcase designs from “Dawn”. Regional designers include Sonia Noel (Mariska’s Designs), Sanola Forte (Bumble Bee Collections) and Dornette Brotherson of Guyana, Oslyn Tanner (EC Harbour) of St. Lucia, Dave Cox (3rd Revolt) and Cassandra Mottley (Fetish) from Barbados.

Hairstyles will be done by Shabeau award winning Hairstylist Auldene Browne and Lesmond Cockburn.

Singing sensation “Bomani” along with “Arabesque Dancers” would also hype the crowd into the Carnival frenzy and add the ‘carnivalesque’ atmosphere.

The cast of 35 Male and female models promises to showcase exotic and exciting styles suitable for the many Carnival shows and the latest summer styles.

Top Caribbean fashion magazines, SHE Magazine, Shabeau Magazine and Caribbean Bride will be on hand to cover the event.
