But last Saturday, September 01, at the Aquatic Club at Villa, the second year Community College student mixed his tunes, did his tricks, had the audience pumped and left the other Djs admiring âThe One!â.
A large crowd packed Aquatic Club, and all admired the young DJ when he beat the impressive cast, which included defending champion DJ Digital and former Caribbean champion, the old school veteran, DJ Ice Kid.
Speaking to SEARCHLIGHT after the competition, DJ Kal said that he felt honoured to have won, and that it was a reward for the hard work that he put into his craft.
The nightâs event also included a âHot Wokâ dance competition, which left the audience, mainly the men, gasping for breath, and pressing to the edge of the stage for an advantageous view of the girlsâ âdancing movesâ. (KJ)
