Carib Girls will rise again in SVG
The renowned Carib Girls will soon be back in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. The group will return as guests of the 2007JâOuvert Band Rise. The groupâs visit is being made possible through the assistance of Bottlers St.Vincent Ltd, one of the major sponsors of Rise.{{more}}
The disclosure was made by Brian Pereira, Sales and Marketing Manager of Bottlers St.Vincent Ltd, at a special ceremony held last week, where sponsors made presentations to the band. Mr Pereira said âI can definitely confirm that the girls will be at Rise and they will be interacting with the patrons while distributing promotional items on JâOuvert morning.â
The Carib Girls are the latest addition to Riseâs star studded entertainment package which includes this yearâs crowd pleasers, Bomani, Skarpyon, Maddzart and Landlord.
Richard Macleish, one of the directors of the band also disclosed that the Rise has added two of the seasonâs hottest artistes to the cast of entertainers – Zoelah with her 2007 hits Fly Away and Go Down and Problem Child, with his hits Party Animal and Secret Agent.
Last week, Stephen Huggins, also a director of the band, advised the sponsors that already, the public response has been very favourable and that they are therefore assured of a successful event come JâOuvert morning. He also indicated that tickets were already in high demand.
Rise, a new JâOuvert paint band for 2007, is being produced by Stephen Huggins, Richard Macleish and Cleo Jones-Huggins. Stephen Huggins and Macleish are former members of RJR. The band, which will offer a âJâOuvert Kitâ including Poui-Yellow body paint, limited drinks, exciting giveaways and door prizes, will host its production at the Ministry of Transport and Works Car Park, from midnight on Sunday, July 8, 2007.
