Jamesy P signs with Universal
The Masterroom Studio has announced that Jamesy P secured a major recording deal.
The word is that the Vincentian artiste has signed and is now awaiting the release of his big 2004 to 2005 soca hit Nookie for Universal Records US and EMI with albums to follow.{{more}}
Jamesy P released his hit for Vincy Mas in 2004 and since then the song has taken off around the region and beyond. It was one of the major hits during the 2005 Carnival in Trinindad and Tobago and has also rocked both the New York and Miami Caribbean festivals.
Masterroom Studio said that Jamesy P will be collaborating with other well-known artistes on the big US labels with different versions of the song due for release next summer worldwide. The local studio also announced that it has negotiated a worldwide publishing deal for Jamesy P with EMI/Mach1 Publishing.
Meanwhile Masterroom has also announced the launch of its website www.masterroom.com to asssit the promotion of its artistes. The studio has said that local artistes Derron âFull Clipâ Dennie and Shernelle âSkarpyonâ Williams are set to release new CDs with previews on radio from this week.
