Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce
You will need:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter.
4 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced.
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning blend.
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour.
2 cups vegetable broth.
3/ 4 cup heavy cream
. 8 oz freshly shredded Parmesan cheese.
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped.
Salt, to taste. Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
Method:
Melt butter in a large sauté pan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir and cook for 1 minute. Sprinkle flour into the pan and whisk until fully combined. Cook for another minute. Slowly pour in vegetable broth, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Simmer gently for 2 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. Pour in heavy cream. Add Parmesan cheese and parsley.Whisk until smooth. Cook on low heat, stirring frequently, until reaching desired consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Tips: Use 1 large cube of Maggi Cube to 1 cup water to make home-made broth of any flavour.
