Vanilla Rum Sauce

Buttery, rich, and creamy with vanilla and rum flavours, this Vanilla Rum Sauce will make anything you pour it on taste absolutely amazing!

You will need:
3 tsp cornstarch
1/ 2 cup sugar
2 cups heavy cream
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp rum

Method:
Start off by combing the cornstarch and sugar in a small bowl using a fork, then set aside.
Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan, then add 2 cups of heavy cream, along with the sugar and cornstarch mixture. Let it come to a quick boil (while stirring constantly). Then drop the heat to medium-low and keep stirring until the sauce thickens. This can take anywhere from 10-15 minutes. Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk in 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 tbsp rum. Then serve it over bread pudding, French toast or any other dish you would like.
