Senator proud to be a child of the Education Revolution
While Government Senator, Jamalie John stood in Parliament during the 2026 National Budget debate to make clear that he was no child of the ‘Education Revolution’, Opposition Senator, Keisal Peters said she was proud to proclaim that she was a child of the Unity Labour Party’s ‘Education Revolution’.
Delivering a strong defense of the nation’s educational transformation under the ULP administration, she called on the government to ensure that funding keeps pace with the rising demand for university assistance.
Identifying herself formally as a “child of the education revolution” Senator Peters cautioned what she saw as “elitist undertones” from members on the government benches.
