Police and barber walk free from wounding charge
A Police Constable, and a barber who were charged in relation to an incident that occurred at Langley Park on Friday, February 13, 2026 walked free when their case was dismissed. The men appeared at the Colonaire Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Thursday, February 19, 2026 to answer to a charge of wounding. However, the case was dismissed after the complainant withdrew the matter.
A release from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), following the arrest stated that charges of grievous bodily harm were laid against police officer Ezron Harper, 39, of Chilli Village, Georgetown, and 35-year-old Damian Harper, a barber, also of Chilli Village following a serious assault in Langley Park on February 13 in which a 51-year-old labourer sustained significant injuries.
“These incidents are distinct, but the approach remains consistent. The law applies evenly, and enforcement follows wherever the evidence leads,” the police release stated, noting that the investigations into the matter remained active, “and further action will follow where necessary”. It is not anticipated that there will be a need for further action now that the virtual complainant has dropped the matter and the case has been dismissed.
