Police assign special team to probe Georgie Gutter shooting
THE Royal St.Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), said Commissioner of Police Enville Williams, has established a special investigative team that is working assiduously on the investigations into the shooting at Georgie Gutter last Friday, January 16, 2026 which left two young men dead, and a third injured.
In a release the police said the matter has been placed under the direct oversight of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Trevor Bailey, who holds responsibility for crime-related investigations. It promises that “This investigation will be conducted without distraction, without delay, and without compromise”.
Reports are that while several men were hanging out by a shop at Georgie Gutter, gunmen opened fire killing one man on the spot, while another died in hospital. A third persons was reported to have sustained a wound, but is alive.
In the release, the police said they are “ deeply saddened by the fatal shooting.
