Opposition to make use of full quota of questions in Parliament
OPPOSITION LEADER, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, has indicated that opposition Members of Parliament will make full use of the quota of questions allowed in Parliament- a total of seven.
Therefore, MP’s on the government side of the House of Assembly can expect to receive a total of 21 questions from the three members on the opposition benches.
Speaking on STAR FM yesterday morning, January 19, 2026, Dr. Gonsalves informed listeners that on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 the Finance Committee meets, one day before the 2026 Estimates are presented and laid in the House of Assembly.
“…and as I had said either the last or the preceding programme, that every member of Parliament not in the Cabinet is entitled to ask at any sitting of the House seven questions, three for oral answer and four for written answers.”
