USA creating division in the region, says Opposition Leader

JUST PRIOR to the November, 2025 general elections in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), the United States of America (USA) is said to have approached the the SVG government about accepting third country deportees.

Dr. Ralph Gonsalves revealed this on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 while speaking on Star Radio.

He said in his opinion, Caribbean countries are, “being picked off one by one” which is to the detriment of these countries.

“…let me illustrate something. A number of countries have said that they will sign up to take in deportees and refugees from third countries sent by the United States.
