Barrouallie man dies in vehicle crash
THE POLICE SAID they have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a motor vehicle collision that occurred yesterday, January 12, 2026 at about 8:30 a.m., along the Lowmans Bay public road. It claimed the life of 58-year- old Barrouallie resident, Stephen Bulze, and several others were injured.
The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), said preliminary reports indicate that a motor vehicle owned by a private electrical company that was travelling towards Lowmans Bay, experienced mechanical issues and crashed into a parked crane.
Six male workers between the ages of 21 and 54 years old were seriously injured in the crash and were admitted to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. Both legs of the driver of the truck owned by the electrical company were reportedly broken.
The RSVGPF has urged all motorists to drive with due care and attention and to show courtesy to all road users.
A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted on the deceased to ascertain the cause of death, and the RSVGPF has extended condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time.
