Gun fire erupts again in Ottley Hall

The Ottley Hall community is in the spotlight again as it relates to gun violence. On Sunday, January, 4 2026, at approximately 2:00 p.m. a man was wounded by gunfire.

Reports are that lawmen responded to gunshots and, upon arrival in Ottley Hall, they encountered a 34-year-old resident at his home with a gunshot wound to his left leg.

The wounded man told the police that his assailant emerged from nearby bushes and opened fire on him, striking him in the leg. He was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) where he was treated and stabilized.

The victim is the uncle of Ottley Hall resident Kyle Providence, who has recently been charged with a series of violent crimes.
