Driver in ICU after Gibson Corner crash

AN OMNIBUS DRIVER is receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) after the van he was driving reportedly lost control, ran off the roadway, and collided with a private property in the vicinity of Gibson Corner.

On Tuesday, August 19 2025, at approximately 3:13 p.m, workers from the St Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC), as well as personnel from the Fire Service; Rapid Response Unit; and Traffic Branch of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), converged along the Gibson Corner Public Road where the driver of a Toyota omnibus, one pedestrian, and several passengers were receiving immediate medical attention following the vehicular collision.

The omnibus, which is owned by a resident of Campden Park and driven by Keith Joseph, 49, of Edinboro, operates between Kingstown and Campden Park.

The Police said that the vehicle reportedly lost control, ran off the roadway, and came to a stop after colliding with a private property in the vicinity of Gibson Corner.
